Smartphones are so integral in our everyday lives.
In a bid to prevent these devices from getting damaged by accidental drops, Japanese motor company Honda has invented an airbag case for smartphones—coming in first in the race against Amazon’s airbags for smartphones, which was much abuzz about last year.
Unveiled in a video on its YouTube account, the ‘Honda Smartphone Case N’ is a chunky phone case which contains six small airbags that inflate before your device hits the ground—in a bid to save the gadget.
Using sensors, the phone case will detect the acceleration as the phone falls, and engage the inflation of the airbags; so that the impact is softened and the phone would bounce off the ground without any cracks.
The airbag smartphone case is actually just a clever, tongue-in-cheek ad to promote Honda’s new mini vehicle N-WGN.
