Motorola’s Interactive Print Ad Changes Color When Touched

To show off the customizable color feature of its Moto X phone, Motorola will be placing a color-changing, interactive print ad in the January issue of Wired magazine.



Made with paper-thin component likes batteries, LEDs, and buttons, the ad allows readers to customize the color of the Moto X phone directly in the magazine.



The picture of the phone (which is connected to LED lights and plexiglass) will its color according to the buttons pressed. Press the blue button and the phone changes to blue, press red and it turns read, and so on.



According to Mashable and Engadget, about 150,000 Wired readers will get to see the ad. It will only be distributed in the New York and Chicago.



This interactive print ad was created with the help of advertising agency Digitas.
