Singleton's Friends Launch Viral Twitter Campaign To Help Him Find Dates

Tired of hearing Ralph Ferrett complain about how “hopeless” he is with women, his friends took to Twitter to get him a date.

Donna Galloway, one of the minds behind this campaign, embarked on the task to get him three dates over the next six months, emphasizing his good qualities in a tweet. His other friends created the hashtag #GetRalphADate to help him as well.

The campaign has since gone viral, partly because the 34-year-old seems to be quite a catch. His friends are also quite good at making him sound date-worthy, highlighting his good qualities like his intelligence, athletic ability, and sense of humor. The fact that he can cook is also a plus point for him.

Ferrett was inundated with offers—some from faraway places like Dubai and Istanbul—but the singleton in question is looking for someone who lives close to Plymouth, Devon, where he resides.

However, the trade union official says that he hasn’t met anyone in person yet as he is overwhelmed by the world’s attention. He has chatted with a few people, and professes that he is shy when it comes to meeting women.

Yet, his friends think that this campaign would help him overcome his nervousness, which will be good for him in the long run.

Perhaps, Ferrett muses, everyone could use social media to find love, just as he has done.

What do you think—is this Twitter campaign a good idea?
