You may not have noticed, but McDonald’s packaging and menu have undergone frequent changes throughout its history--The Guardian recently showcased some nostalgia-inducing examples from the fast food giant’s packaging archives.
The designs and materials used by McDonald’s also reflect the spirits of the eras in which they were introduced—for instance, a lot more Styrofoam packaging was used back in the 1980s.
It is also interesting to note how some items that used to be available have since disappeared off the menu—did you know that there was actually a McPizza?
Head over here to view the entire collection of vintage McDonald’s packaging—how many of these do you remember seeing at the restaurant in the past?
