Thought-Provoking 3D Pavement Art Gives 'Alice In Wonderland' A New Meaning

Italian artist Vera Bugatti has teamed up with Luigi Legno to create a piece of three-dimensional pavement art for Ireland's Wicklow Arts Festival.

Based on the festival theme of “Explore”, the artist depicted Alice in Wonderland in her personal interpretation—it took 2 days to complete the artwork on a four meters square surface in an exhibition hall.

Viewers said that it was a “personification on Ireland itself”, adding that “Alice” was portrayed to be “sad and a little angry”—alongside was The White Rabbit and a flying machine, all seemingly waiting for an escape from the destruction.
