‘CSS Sans’, A Font Made Using Only CSS





We have previously featured impressive projects where people have used only CSS to create images of The Simpsons characters, every mouse ever made by Apple and even the Mona Lisa.



In a similar way, Japanese web developer Yusuke Sugomori also used the computing language in an unconventional way to “test the limits” of its capabilities by creating a full font that is made entirely with HTML and CSS.



While this CSS-only font, named “CSS Sans”, could not actually be used for web design, it reflects the amazingly meticulous work that went into it—if you hover your cursor over a particular CSS declaration, the part of the letter that it is responsible for would be highlighted in blue.
