Pixar has announced that its 3D rendering software ‘RenderMan’ is now available for free download.
The free download is restricted for non-commercial use on Mac, Windows and Linux—users who want to use it for commercial purposes have to license it for US$500.
‘RenderMan’ was used in Pixar films like Toy Story and Up, as well as to craft special effects in Hollywood movies like Guardians of the Galaxy.
