Eye-Catching, Realistic Wooden 3D Sculptures That Seem To Pop Off The Walls

Rotterdam-based sculptor Ron Van der Ende creates beautiful wall-mounted 3D sculptures of trucks, planes and everyday objects using wood.

After spending time to explore various techniques, Van der Ende decided to focus on using salvaged wood exclusively, gluing the pieces together in a mosaic style. His interest is in transforming indifferent artefacts that once inspired enthusiasm to something worth examining up close, and to see how their meaning has changed.

Intentionally utilising the original color and texture of the wood, and building the perspective into the relief, he is able to make the finished product look realistic and gripping.
