Gorgeous, Intricate 3D Illustrated Sculptures Made From Discarded Books

It never ceases to amaze us at the amount of creativity that goes into transforming old and classic books into fantastic works of art.

The latest individual to blow our minds away is Washington-based illustrator Isobelle Ouzman, who gives discarded books a new lease of life by turning them into beautiful and intricate sculptures.

Using glue sticks, an X-Acto knife and watercolor paints, she carves and draws in their pages to create wonderfully intricate 3D artworks.

According to Ouzman, it was her love of reading that inspired her to embark on her project, adding that it’s her way of making them “mean something once more.”

Check out her book sculptures below, and head over to her online shop if you're interesting in purchasing them.
