Help To Save The Environment With The ‘World's First’ Plantable Coffee Cup

A California based company has found a green way to deal with waste from America's coffee addiction.

Reduce. Reuse. Grow. is introducing the world's first plantable coffee cup. With seeds embedded in fibers that make up the cup's walls, all consumers need to do is immerse the cup in water and bury it in the ground. If they choose to throw it away instead, the cup's biodegradable material turns into compost and breaks down into natural materials within 180 days.

This initiative requires the cooperation of coffee houses, the community and consumers, who can play their part in reforesting local communities, with the use of these plantable cups. The company is also working on doing the same for to-go containers and other paper products.
