Nintendo has officially announced its partnership with mobile gaming company DeNA to jointly produce games for smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Previously, Nintendo refused to license its intellectual property to other platforms, considering that this move might impede their console-based business. But it seems like they can no longer ignore the growth of the mobile gaming market.

A new online membership service for mobile devices is also expected to come out of this partnership, which will bridge the gap between smart devices and gaming consoles.

This means that you can expect to see famous franchises like Mario, Pokemon and Zelda being available on your mobile devices.
