The ‘Hardest Job In The World’ Will Surprise You

For Mother’s Day in the UK, flower delivery network Interflora launched a campaign that included a fake job ad posted in the Times newspaper on Monday.

Titled ‘Hardest Job in the World’, it called for candidates who were willing to work 119 hours a week, “be willing to learn on the job”, have “impeccable time management skills”, “be on call 24/7”, and “have unlimited patience and be calm under pressure.”

The annual salary for such a demanding role? £172,000 a year, or approximately US$26,000 per annum. This figure was calculated according to what a mother would earn if she worked 40 hours a week like a teacher, chauffeur, personal assistant, and other jobs.

Created to recognize the valuable contributions of mothers, it appears to be inspired by a similar campaign last year.

If you’re a mom and are curious to find out how much you should be earning, you can calculate your salary here.

Moms, what do you think of this ad?
