To find out more about men’s modern standards of beauty, the BuzzFeed team collected information from professional publications and entertainment, and asked their readers on social media for their thoughts on what makes a man “attractive”.
They revealed the results of their study via a five-minute video that features the stark differences in physical attributes of the “ideal” man found in 12 different countries, such as Australia, Turkey, and the US.
To help us visualize these physical attributes better, an international cast of male models were featured in the video, showing us the diverse preferences in men’s beauty standards from around the world.
For instance, the “lumbersexual” look is currently popular in the US, while Turkish men are slowly embracing grooming services due to the influence of romantic leading men in their country’s soap operas.
