Volvo Goes Car-Free In New Ad, Flips The Car Commercial Archetype On Its Head

Swedish car-maker Volvo’s latest ad flips the archetypal car commercial on its head with its car-free approach.



Created by Grey London, the tranquil 50-second spot features scenic images of forests, rustling leaves and falling snow, making it resemble a nature documentary instead of a hi-octane car commercial.



Titled ‘Swedish Air’, it was made to promote the CleanZone clean air filtration unit in Volvo’s upcoming XC90 model.
