Watch: Pet Tortoise Wakes Up After Four Months Of Hibernation In A Refrigerator

Comic artist Neil Slorance has created a video of him “unboxing” Herman, his pet tortoise that has been hibernating in the refrigerator for four months.

Solrance explains that keeping Herman in a refrigerator during its hibernation period is much safer than hibernating outdoors as the temperature will remain consistent, without it freezing in extremely cold temperature or waking up prematurely at a higher temperature.

He has also created comic strips to explain the process, and imagines Herman having delightful dreams of mountains of salad.

Hit play on the video to watch Herman waking up slowly from his long sleep.
