Physicist Brian Cox recently conducted an experiment where he attempted to find out what would happen if he dropped a feather and bowling ball in a vacuum.
Filmed for the BBC program Human Universe, Cox demonstrated dropping the two objects inside the ‘world’s largest’ vacuum chamber at the NASA Space Power Facility in Ohio.
With air resistance eliminated due to the chamber’s lack of air, the feather and the bowling ball fell side by side at the same speed.
