Copenhagen-based industrial designer Tobias Tøstesen has created a stunning floor-to-ceiling chandelier that is made completely out of transparent LEGO bricks.
The impressive lighting installation was presented during Milan Design Week 2013 and is constructed by hand-stacking 8,000 clear plastic bricks.
The curved form of the “Transparent LEGO Chandelier” captures the changing light of the day, changing from “distinctive cool chroma to exclusive hot hues” as time passes.
This fragile yet imposing structure challenges the viewer to think about the immense potential of the common toy brick in design and architecture.
