Travel Destinations Of Much-Loved Children’s Stories

Want to travel to Narnia? Or to where ‘Peter Rabbit’ was birthed? How about the Hogwarts School of Witchcaft?

For International Children’s Book Day, Cheapflights.co.uk put together a chart of real-world destinations that were inspirations for much-loved children’s stories.

‘A Children’s Book Guide To Travel’ lists the places—with beautiful sceneries and history—that inspired tales of fiction, such as Medaline, The Hobbit, and Winnie the Pooh, to name a few.

From The Lake District in England (which was the setting of Beatrix Potter’s ‘Peter Rabbit’), to the town Narni, in Rome, that was known as “Narnia” in Roman Times—and not to forget, The Alnwick Castle in Northumberland, England featured in Harry Potter films—these amazing places might be on the bucket list of literary buffs.
