A ‘Landscape Hotel’ Designed To Let You Enjoy The Spectacular View Outside

In Norway, architectural firm Jensen & Skodvin has built what is arguably the world’s first “landscape hotel”, which is designed around what is outside instead of inside.

The Juvet Landscape Hotel is based on the idea of a property with minimalist design, with a structure that blends into its environment and “offers amenities that are oriented outwards towards the surrounding nature”.

The most outstanding feature of the hotel is its floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows—installed in all rooms and even the hotel’s spa—that give its guests a splendid, uninterrupted view of the forested landscape outside.

The rooms are stylishly but sparsely furnished and poorly lit on purpose—there is basically nothing much to do in them—so as to keep the focus on the outdoors.
