An Impressive Map Of The London Underground Made Entirely In CSS

Freelance web developer John Galantini has re-created the famous map of the London Underground using CSS,—together with HTML and JavaScript—a programming language that is designed for the styling of web pages and not digital illustration.

Requiring a huge amount of time, skills and patience to complete, this CSS map of the Tube is meant as a tribute to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the London icon.

Looking deceptively like a simple PDF image, this is an impressive achievement that took an arduous 120 hours over five weeks to perfect—the intricate subway maze is created purely through written codes.
