Artist Creates Mini Dioramas Within Discarded Televisions





Remember those cathode ray tube TV sets that are now a thing of the past?



Instead of leaving those thrown-out appliances to rot, China-based artist Zhang Xiangxi has repurposed them as mediums for intricate dioramas.



Within hollowed-out TV sets, he meticulously crafts settings inspired by his life in China—such as his dream home, his parents’ sitting room, a workers’ dormitory he once lived in, his old workspace, and an interior of a train carriage.
