A hilarious meme that combines two of the internet’s favourite things—cats and beards—has became red-hot popular with the social media generation recently.
“Cat Beard” is a photo meme that involves holding up a cat in front of you and letting its chin cover half your face, which creates the illusion of a long, furry beard.
Although the first Cat Beard picture was spotted back in 2011, the ridiculous but very funny fad only really took off a short while ago—the trend has since snowballed into thousands of photographs that floods social media sites like Tumblr and Instagram.
