Chandeliers Made Of Bicycle Parts Create Wonderful Light Show Beneath Overpass

Based in Arizona, artists Joe O’Connell and Blessing Hancock have installed six shimmering chandeliers under an overpass in San Antionio, Texas.

Entitled “Ballroom Luminoso”, these chandeliers cast mesmerizing, colourful silhouettes over the bare concrete space as the viewer wanders through the display.

Made from recycled bicycle parts, LED lights and custom-made structural steel, these carefully crafted chandeliers allude to the area’s agricultural history.

Each chandelier sports a medallion, reminiscent of the iconography of La Loteria, a Latin American game similar to Bingo—each symbol is inspired by the community’s farming roots, celebrating its eco-friendly achievements and cycling culture.
