Inspired by the beauty he feels is inherent in modern technology, Oregon-based photographer Mark Crummet has created a series of surreal landscapes by placing miniature figurines among computer parts.
He highlights this beauty in a photo series called ‘Ghosts in the Machine’.
By surrounding his models with technology, Crummet draws a comparison to our lifestyles.
“These people are surrounded by technology, technology has become their environment,” he told Wired. “And that’s where we are too. Technology has become so integrated that it’s second nature to us.”
Crummet gives his photos a painted look, hoping that it will draw people into the story by letting their imaginations take over.
