How The iPhone Camera Has Improved Over The Years

Macro comparison

One of the most important features that people look for in a smartphone is its ability to take good quality pictures.

With that said, the iPhone camera has definitely evolved tremendously since the smartphone was first launched in 2007.

To show how much the iPhone camera has improved, photography app ‘Camera+’ did a photo comparison for every iPhone model—from the original, first generation iPhone to the latest iPhone 5.

Each iPhone model was required to take three separate photos—a macro shot, a skyline shot and a low-light macro shot.

Placing the photos side-by-side to each other, it shows that the iPhone 5 produces “sharper photos with more accurate white balance, contrast, and saturation” compared to its earlier predecessors.

What do you think? Does the camera quality justify your decision to upgrade your iPhone?
