Polish photographer Michał Karcz has used a combination of photography and digital manipulation techniques to create a series of breath-taking landscapes pulled straight out of his “dreams, desire, imagination and fears”.
Karcz began his career as a painter, and he credits his experience on canvas as helping him develop his vision.
His move to digital photography later on gave him the “opportunity to generate unique realities” that were impossible with traditional darkroom techniques.
He cites music as his biggest inspiration, saying, “it’s an inseparable element with pictures in my mind, a kind of sound illustration to a visible scenery. These two things hit me with the strongest intensity.”
