These Disney Villains-Inspired Shoes Are ‘Wicked’

Israeli-born footwear designer Kobi Levi comes up with kinkiest shoes that could be considered as “wearable sculptures”.

For his series inspired by Disney villains, he draws on the unique and distinct characters and temperaments Ursula from ‘The Little Mermaid’, Maleficent from ‘Sleeping Beauty’, and the Evil Queen from ‘Snow White’, and incorporates them into leather shoes.

Each of the shoes in the ‘Witch-Craft’ series has the villains’ face hand-painted on the insoles.

The Maleficent shoes are a pair of shiny black pointy-toed shoes with her ‘horns’ that wind their way up to its wearer’s legs.

The Ursula shoes are sling-back sandals reminiscent Ursula’s Octopus dress and body—from an aerial view, it looks as if Ursula is ‘wearing shoe’.

Lastly, the Evil Queen shoes are heel-less peep toes that have crowns that wrap around its wearers’ ankles—its peep toe hole is intended to show off its wearers red-painted toenail to complete the Evil Queen's necklace.

“Walt Disney characters represent the ultimate fantasy. I loved them as a child and still do today,” Levi said in a statement about his Villains designs for Disney. “Their Naivety captures and makes me feel like I’m in a magical world.”

“The Villains are special because they are iconic and interesting. My choice to work with Ursula, Maleficent and the Evil Queen was an easy one: I always loved them. Although they are all stereotypes, each one has her uniqueness and a distinct character and temperament.”
