‘Tiny Pencil’, An Art Magazine That Celebrates Graphite

For all you graphite lovers out there, here is an art magazine that celebrates the humble pencil.

Called ‘Tiny Pencil’, it is new bi-annual magazine started by UK-based artists Amber Hsu and Katriona Chapman.

Devoted entirely to ‘lead arts’, each issue will focus on a particular theme—showcasing “exciting and extraordinary” works and illustrations by various artists in graphite.

According to Hsu, she said, “The artists have found it really refreshing—pencil is quite a personal medium and I think that’s another reason artists enjoy using it. There’s a strong personal element in all of the works in the current issue.”

The first issue of the magazine can be purchased online for £9 .
