Ever had the experience of drinking a really good beer but forgetting its name? Graduate student Kevin Jamieson experienced the same problem, and his solution is to create an app for it.
Collating descriptions of beer online, Jamieson came up with an algorithm which projects a visual infographic of 200, 00 types of beer available around the world.
While people are unable to perceive this six-dimensional map, users are able to toggle between two-dimensions at a time to determine the type of beers they’d like.
The app aims to be as comprehensive as possible, and also shows how closely each type of beer is related to another.
This ambitious project guarantees that there’s a beer for every person, and is slated to for release in June.
