Australian photographer Lincoln Harris blew us away with his first ‘Star trails’ collection of surreal swirls in the sky, created from a multitude of long-exposure shots and the effect of the Earth’s rotation.
Recently, Harris added a new collection to his repertoire and it’s just as breathtaking. In this series, the stars seem to erupt against a galactic night sky in a stunning pyrotechnic display.
Harris uses the same technique of long-exposure frames to capture the brilliant movements of the stars. He shoots the night sky separately with a creative zoom technique, and then layers the images in post-production.
