Filmmaker Anthony Cerniello has created an incredible time-lapse video that shows a young girl aging to become an old woman.
Titled ‘Danielle’, Cerniello used a combination of animation and photography to speed up the otherwise time-consuming process.
Working with photographer Keith Sirchio, they visited Danielle’s family and shot portraits of her family members—from her “youngest cousins through to her oldest relatives”.
They then identified family members with similar bone structure and had animators Nathan Mieier and Edmund Earle edit the still photos together to mimic the time-lapse effect of aging.
The outcome is a remarkable and surreal time-lapse video that captures the beauty of growing old.
