Berlin-based artist Marie-Lou Desmeules creates unique, human-like sculptures out of plastic.
Each of her model sculptures experience a metamorphosis through a painting surgery.
According to the artist, "We live in a society of plastic, inside and outside,". By creating sculptures of people this way, she wanted to express that there is a living human being hidden beneath each of these freaky-looking models.
In her own words, “People either love or hate my work”.
