Figurative painter Mandy Tsung has a series of gorgeous, surreal paintings depicting women in sensual poses.
The Vancouver-based artist uses everything from ink on paper to oil on wood to create powerful, emotive portraits of women that possess a dream-like quality. With their long luscious hair, wide eyes, full lips, and bold yet graceful body language, they meld physical beauty with feminine strength.
Tsung states “Ever since I was a little girl, surrounded by literature, magazines, and comics which depicted captivating women, I’ve felt the desire to both emulate and override the imagery that informs my view of what it means to be a woman”.
