To celebrate the final O2 hotspot being switched on—at the four shopping malls, 240 cafes, cars and restaurants and 20 acres of parks—the communications company opened a canopy of umbrellas in partnership with Canary Wharf Group.
Dubbed “UK’s biggest umbrella”, the stunning display made up of 500 individual mostly blue umbrellas “keeps passers-by covered” as it not only shelters them from the rain, but also symbolizes the free WiFi provided within the area.
The installation found at Reuters Plaza, London, measures 6x8-meters and took three weeks to create; it was made by a group of artists Helix 3D.
