Japanese Singer's Album Cover Art Features Elaborate, Fairytale-Like Typography

Japanese-pop singer Yumi Matsutoya, better known as Yumin, recently released her 37th album, and its cover art features an impressive set of Alice in Wonderland-esque typography.

The beautiful cover art was conceived by art director Chie Morimoto, with photography by Leslie Kee.

Each letter is an elaborate fairytale pastiche of clocks, cats, starfish, and other whimsical things, manually assembled to form the words ‘POP CLASSICO’.

The letters were photographed individually, with Yumin interacting with each 'set' while dressed in quirky costumes designed by stylist Hisashi Kitazawa.
