Artist Brightens Up City Streets With Whimsical Romantic Art For Lovers

Love is in the air wherever São Paulo-based artist Alex Senna goes. His whimsical black-and-white illustrations of lovers holding hands, embracing, and locked in passionate kisses are accompanied by little hearts, birds and other charming flourishes that will put a smile on your face.

Senna was in Miami recently for Art Basel 2013, and brightened the city streets and pathways of Wyndwood with several new murals.

Cheeky, light-hearted and optimistic, his pieces add a warmth and cheeriness to their surroundings, and conjure a healthy dose of romance.

A paragraph on his site explains, “Alex Senna brings us to a nostalgic atmosphere when using materials and characters that sounds familiar like a friend, a moment, a romance or an emotion. The incomparable traces of his work in black and white allow a little more love to comes inside of our daily obligations, a universal need these days.”
