If you are a graphic designer, you would probably have a deep fondness for paper samples—and you would understand that there is something deeply pleasurable about looking at and touching fine, well-made papers.
Paper company Arjowiggins has created “The Paper Book”, a gorgeous and luxurious tome that contains the complete collection of the papermaker’s creative papers from all of its brands.
Designed by North to look and feel like a reference book, there are no dividers, sections or folders in it—there is just a short description of the paper printed on each sheet.
According to Arjowiggins' luxury brands & marketing director Christophe Balaresque, this book is made with the consideration that “designers prefer to show paper samples to their clients as blank sheets”.
These plain blank sheets also remove any expectations of how the papers should be used, encouraging designers to exercise their imagination and utilize them in any project that they deem fit.
