Fashion Trend: Putting Logos Of Coca-Cola, Other Non-Fashion Brands On Clothes

It is a very common and popular practice for fashion houses to stamp their logo onto their merchandise—however, a more recent trend in the industry has given a more unconventional twist to this use of logos.



Instead of flaunting their own logos, fashion designers have been putting the logos of other non-fashion brands onto their clothes, bags, shoes and accessories.



For instance, Opening Ceremony recently unveiled a collection that features retro Kodak branding, while Joyrich has printed the famous logo of Coca-Cola onto its streetwear pieces.



While you may think that this seems to a blatant copyright violation, it is actually quite all right for fashion brands to use others’ logos in this way if a licensing deal is in place.
