Designer Literally Creates A Storm In A Teacup With Device That Reflects Weather

London-based freelance designer Mark McKeague has created an incredible device that can literally stir up a storm in a tea cup.

Aptly named “Storm In A Teacup”, the device reflects three elements of the current weather condition—wind speed and direction, cloud cover and rainfall.

A tiny fan on the accompanying teaspoon spins in accordance with wind conditions while the teacup itself gives off lights of varying brightness to reflect sun intensity.

The teacup can even produce cloud, rain and lightning when appropriate—for instance, when a storm is raging outside, water and steam starts would splutter from the it.

This definitely beats the weather channel hands down.
