In Brazil, 100 Phone Booths Transformed Into Wonderful Artworks

Last year, Brazilian phone operator Vivo invited 100 artists to paint over 100 phone booths in Sao Paulo—the result is a wonderful public art display that turns these functional structures into fantastic artworks.

Each artist works on a similar domed, helmet-like booth but uses their unique imagination to transform them into something that are one-of-a-kind.

From a disturbing brain booth to a funky disco ball-inspire one, it seems like a lot of fun to duck your head into one of these and make an old-fashioned phone call instead of tapping away on a smartphone.
