Hong Kong-based German photographer Michael Wolf—who previously photographed portraits of people trapped in a crowded train—has documented a series of photographs that hint at Hong Kong’s increasing population density and its effects.
As with other densely-populated places in the world, the overcrowded city is forced to build more high-rise residential buildings for seemingly comfortable living.
In ‘Architecture of Density’, Wolf captures the close-ups of the urban environment to create patterns—making the viewer question, “How much space does one really need?”
