Beijing Imagined As A SimCity-Like Metropolis With Toy Buildings

Chinese artist and architect Li Han has given us a fresh perspective of Beijing, his smog-filled home city, with his cheerful, SimCity-like architectural drawings.

Featuring “opened up” building blocks that are without walls or roofs, interior and street life in the city blends to create an unusual vantage view of the Chinese capital.

Teeming with urban life and activities, Li’s drawings shows the city’s dwellers going about their daily life—he finds inspiration by walking through the city and collecting interesting nuggets of life in Beijing.
