British photographer Kirsty Mitchell has created a stunning photo series in memory of her mother—who was an English teacher and storyteller—that is inspired by fairytales.
Aptly entitled ‘Wonderland’, these elaborately set up pictures feature beautiful costumes designed and made by the photographer herself—Mitchell spent a decade as a costume and fashion designer before deciding to focus on photography.
Depicting surreal scenes filled with gorgeous colors and ethereal characters, each photograph is carefully composed to linger on that fine line between reality and one’s imagination..
