Inspired by how construction workers scribble notes on pieces of leftover material, Canadian advertising studio WAX has created an attractive, effective and economical business card for cabinet-maker Brad Haniak of BDH Millwork.
Considering the client’s tiny budget, WAX came up with a brilliant solution: to rubber-stamp Haniak’s business card information onto pieces of leftover wood, found in abundance at his carpentry workshop.
The result is a statement-making wooden-block business card—although the 0.25 inches thick card does take up a lot more space than a regular business card, but it will definitely make a lasting impression.
The production costs came up to just CA$40, a bargain by all standards—check out more images of this great business card design below.
