To raise awareness about press freedom, Reporters Without Borders and its agency BETC Paris has created an attention-grabbing ad campaign that shows infamous dictators giving the viewer the finger and other obscene hand signs.
Featuring well-known personalities like North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, these ads express how these illiberal leaders make a mockery of and could not care less about press freedom and their citizens’ right to information.
This provocative print campaign—which seeks to remind people about how important freedom of information is—has rolled out at the Opera Metro Station in Paris.
