A Lighter, Chic 'Ostrich Pillow' That Lets You Nap In Style During Your Commute

The ‘Ostrich Pillow Light’ is the latest creation from Kawamura-Ganjavian, the Madrid-based company that brought us the original Ostrich Pillow and its kid-friendly version.

It is made of the same “silicon coated micro-beads” as its earlier cousins, and has been given a stylish update while retaining its endearing quirkiness.

It doubles as a padded scarf when not pulled over the head and features an adjustable elastic ring for a better fit. Instead of engulfing the wearer in pitch-black darkness like the original Ostrich, this newer version gently cocoon’s the person’s head, allowing them to still experience their surroundings.

The new lighter design makes it ideal for commuters, and is “aimed at anyone who would like to recharge on the go, in comfort and privacy”.

It seems people can’t get enough of these plush sleep-on-the-go pods, as the ‘Ostrich Pillow Light’ has already surpassed its Kickstarter goal of £25,000. Kawamura-Ganjavian and its collaborator Studio Banana Things hope to launch it into production soon.

Head over to Kickstarter to purchase one for $44, and view some pictures of the cute pillow below.
