Cafe Ki is a chic, minimalist cafe in Tokyo, Japan, that has tables with legs that extend upwards like tree trunks and branches.
The stylish monochromatic cafe is designed by Japanese studio id, and is named after the Japanese word for tree.
The table legs of black poles that resemble bare trees aren’t just pretty to look at—their ‘branches’ can also be used to hang hats and coats. To complete the nature theme, the tables are also adorned with small transparent plates in the shape of leaves that hold cubes of sugar.
Apart from looking aesthetically pleasing, the table legs around the long table in the middle of the cafe help to divide the space, maintaining a comfortable distance between different groups of people.
