Airbnb Now Allows Travelers To Book A Dining Seat In Local Homes

Online travel marketplace Airbnb has launched a new dining program in San Francisco for travelers to experience the country like a local by dining with the city's residents in their homes.

The program allows travelers to join the host’s dining parties or a homemade dinner. Some of the hosts even plan a dining itinerary around the neighborhood for the traveler.

Prices range from US$26 per person for a dim sum experience to US$257 person person for cooking with local chefs and usually lasts more than two hours.

The spokesperson for Airbnb Marissa Coughlin told Reuters that the company is “always experimenting with new ways to create meaningful experience,” hence the launch of the program.
