London-based artist James Hopkins has created a sculpture that evolves into numbers “1”, “2” and “3” according to the viewer's field of vision.

As with the other projects by the artist, he constructs and arrange elements of the sculpture carefully to “create slippages in perception”, thereby tricking the viewer's eyes.

Behind the playful installation is a message that “reflects on philosophical and psychological traditions related to the connectivity between vision, language and thought”.
