Photographer Captures Stunning Images Of New York City With A Leica Camera

An 87-megapixel stitched panoramic from 12 images of The Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial. Towering 1776 feet, it overlooks the fountains which mark the footprints of the Twin Towers

Photographer Bob Boyd was recently on a family vacation in New York City and captured some stunning photographs of the city with his Leica camera and a set of 21, 35, 50 and 90mm lenses.

Instead of relying on clichéd themes or fancy filters, his photographs stand out with beautiful composition and mastery of light, and the resulting shots are truly amazing.

They include shots of street scenes, a poignant image of a white rose on the 9/11 Memorial, and a particularly incredible panoramic view of the city’s skyline taken from the top of Rockefeller Center.

In this age of rampant digital manipulation and filtered-to-death Instagram photographs, Boyd’s back to basics approach is a breath of refreshing air.

Check out some of his photographs below and view the entire collection here.
